The Story Of Echara

Echara is a clockwork owl automaton who lives in and around a local Inn within a small town. Standing about 3'8" in height with a wingspan of ~7ft. They were created by a wizard who was trying to do something a bit reckless, build an automaton that could think and develop a personality of its own, instead of just following pre-existing commands. And he succeeded in doing so. Now Echara has been let loose into the world to learn and adapt. Finding that the best place to do this is from adventurers that come and go through the local Inn.

Behind the clockwork

Echara is a passion project of mine, beginning around August 2025. After playing some Vintage Story and later on Hollow Knight: Silksong, I started brainstorming a new character and with the help of the talented Heartbeat, we were able to bring them to life. Heartbeat designed Echara during a late night call as I tried my best to describe what they looked like out loud. In streams, I'll be using a pngtuber of Echara in a little shop they've set up within the Inn. However, I am hopeful to do more with them in the near future. ^^
